We will kick off the morning with our keynote speaker Abdinasir (Nas) Nourkadi from Move Minnesota. Was will talk about how they organized
to get the state of Minnesota to adopt the new transportation greenhouse gas emissions law, similar to the one in Colorado. Nas will talk about how they got the law passed and how these laws might reduce highway expansion and sprawl while helping us rethink how we get around.
In the afternoon, we will have a panel of speakers doing a deep dive on the new stormwater law in Iowa that undercuts work that 1000 Friends of Iowa has done over the past decade! The panel will tell us about what is in the new law, how cities are impacted, and what we can do to ensure we don’t go backwards on stormwater pollution. You don’t want to miss out! Register today!
