We will be joined by Beth Osborne from Transportation for America, who will walk us through the opportunities presented to local governments for investments in transit, walking, biking, rolling, electrification, and other climate-informed transportation allocations. Don’t miss out! Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_fr3wCdZbRvC2nSoSIMVslg
A recent report from the Georgetown Climate Center highlighted how important these local decisions are, because the funds coming from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act could actually increase greenhouse gas pollution if not used well.
Meanwhile, Headwaters Economics just released their findings that 75% of communities in the Midwest have little capacity to apply for the new funds or to think creatively about how to apply in ways that improve the quality of life for residents while decreasing pollution. If you work with local governments or state DOTs, don’t miss the opportunity to learn from Beth! Hope to see you there!
