SUMMARY:Midwest Conference for Farmer Veterans
DESCRIPTION:Join other veterans for networking and learning about unique opportunities\, programs\, and jobs available to military veterans and service members who are farming\, aspiring to farm\, or seeking agricultural related careers. \nFarm Tours: Day One of the conference will feature tours of diverse working farms and provide a chance to interact with other farmers and veterans. \nWorkshops: Day Two will focus on educational presentations and workshops led by agricultural experts\, agency personnel\, and veteran service providers. \nNetworking: The Conference will include plenty of time for networking with other veterans and farmers as well as feature a social reception and exhibit hall for service providers\, vendors\, and potential employers. \nThe conference is hosted by the Farmer Veteran Coalition of Iowa and Drake University. Support also is provided by the USDA and Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture.
