Shirm/Stephenson Prairie Remnant Tour Sunday June 25 3:30 pm

This tour, near Peru, IA is one you won’t want to miss! It’s a rare opportunity to see an “off the beaten path” gem of remnant prairie, prairie reconstruction, and savanna managed for over 20 years. The management goal was to improve habitat for hunting.
Dress for grassland and woodland setting. Bring water and bug repellent. Mobility aids will be present, so don’t let that prevent your attendance. We hope to have Pheasants Forever members as our guests as well. See you on the prairie!!
Address: 3067 Pleasant View Trail — Take Peru Road to the stop sign in the town of Peru. Turn South on Odell Ave. Odell Ave. will quickly turn into Brown Street. Proceed West on Brown Street out of town (the road will turn into Gravel). The gravel road will come to a Y intersection. Bear LEFT and then quickly LEFT again on Pleasant View Trail. After approximately 2 miles, take the grade B road RIGHT where a log home is located. Look for parking directions at this destination.
